Katie is 16, right into sailing, school friends, and even more importantly, boyfriends.
Oh, and it would seem she also has Hodgkin's disease. Lymphoma. Cancer. In Katie's world a bit of weight loss is a good thing. A bit of hair loss and fatigue, explainable. So it takes a long time for anyone, including Katie, to realise that she is sick.
Then it would appear everything is gone. No sailing, few friends and definitely no boyfriend.
Until she meets Adam.
