With its numerous inlets, bays and lakes, the upper and central south island offers a wealth of opportunities for easily accessible, sheltered paddling. Add the fantastic scenery, particularly in the Marlborough Sounds and the Central Lakes, to the mix and it is no wonder that the number of sea kayakers is growing as more and more people discover the pleasures of this enjoyable and rewarding activity.
