Jill Duchess of Hamilton is the spirit behind Flora-for-Fauna. She is a vice-president of Butterfly Conservation and a Fellow of the Linnean Society. She is the co-author of four books, including Scottish Plants for Scottish Gardens and English Plants for Your Garden. She lives in London. Penny Hart is a journalist and a co-author of English Plants for Your Garden. She lives in Dorking, Surrey. John Simmons OBE was curator of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew from 1972 to 1995. He is a Director of Flora-for-Fauna.
