Anne's background was originally in Drama and English secondary school teaching. Alongside teaching, she wrote scripts for students, and skits that she performed in comedy shows. One year, she co-wrote a solo show that she performed in schools. In 2014, Anne completed a Masters in Creative Writing at AUT. She won the 2016 Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon award with `Tui Street Tales', seven interlinked stories for 8-12 year-olds, published in 2017. The sequel, `Tui Street Heroes,' is being published by Wildling Books this year. Anne lives with her family in Mt. Albert, Auckland.
